Sonnie, I’m so glad you are feeling better and I’m sad to hear that your most recent health situation was due to someone else’s poor decisions and lack of understanding. On a happier note, I am amazed at all of the items you were able to find at Costco!!
The 12inch cosco Apple pie yum yum
Oh yes – the comfort foods of home. In Denmark we have this sour doug very dark rye bread. And when ever I’ve been away, that’s the one thing i crave the most. … And that’s the biggest bag of tortilla chips I’ve ever seen. Although there might be a small mismatch in regards to chip to salsa ratio. At least if you guys pile on the salsa as I do. Double dip is allowed :P.
Good to hear you are on the mend. And happy prelated birthday. It’s good you are thinking more about you. I am 12 years your senior, and I can tell you, that it’s the absolute right thing to do, and it’s going to be a journey. At least if I understood the “better for the people around me” comment. Because if you have had that mindset for most of your life, that’s your default setting. And you have learn to accept being more selfish. And the thing is; if you do this, your actually become a better person to your fellow humans as well. In my experience anyways. But I am certainly still on this journey of taking care of myself, so still learning a lot.
going to Costco is always trap, even though you only need 1 thing you find yourself going through every isle trying to justify adding more things to your cart. i was pretty good the last time i went though, went in for a pack of beef jerky and thats all i got with the exception of a little detour to the food court. cant say no a $1.50 hot dog and drink. BTW Happy Dirty Thirty!
It looks so strange to me seeing a giant ass Costco in Japan. It’s like, how did they find the space? Anyway, I’m excited you can have those foods you’ve missed. Those Philadelphia Cream Cheese box designs are kawaii.
Get your mantra on, gurrl. Glad you’re doing better. Happy birthday!
No judgement here, I’ve been paying for Brianna blue cheese dressing imported from Houston via Amazon! At least Tesco carries Frank’s red hot and Doritos…
Happy almost-there birthday, Sonnie! Mine was in June 4th so congratulations from a fellow Gemini ^-^ I totally understand what you mean about taking better care of oneself for oneself’s sake. I have also been trying to pay more attention to what I think about myself and what I am capable of so that I can improve. I try to listen to myself more and commit to make my life easier instead of trying to do everything. Yours were powerful words so I really wish you all the best in that journey. I also get that you miss food there in Japan! I surely do miss things from Barcelona here in Edinburgh even though there’s variety and I can even find olives like the ones back home –I have a passion for them– 😀 Cheers!
Love Costco! You got some great stuff!
most things from american companies that get made for different countries I know have different recipes to conform to different countries food laws XD like cutting out the high fructose corn syrup when making it for other countries, leaving out dyes etc wich can also result in different flavours.
